H7Chat Privacy Policy
Important Notice: H7Chat is an instant messaging application. We attach great importance to the protection of your personal information and privacy. Before registering, logging in, or using H7Chat services, please carefully read and fully understand this Privacy Policy. By clicking agree or continuing to use H7Chat, you acknowledge that you have understood and agreed that we may process your personal information in accordance with this Policy.
This Privacy Policy applies to the H7Chat mobile application and its supporting server-side features. The main features of H7Chat include account registration and login, friends and group chats, one-to-one and group messages, sending images/videos/voice messages/files, audio and video calls, translation, content safety filtering, reporting, blocking, feedback, message push notifications, and version updates.
We follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity, and good faith, and process your personal information only for the purposes described in this Policy. For sensitive personal information or features that require device permissions, we will request your authorization in the relevant scenario. You may refuse or withdraw authorization, but the related features may not function properly.
1. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
1. Account Registration, Login, and Identity Verification
When you register for or log in to H7Chat, we may collect your username, password, invitation code, login credentials, device information, network information, and login time. This information is used to create your account, verify your identity, protect account security, prevent abnormal login activity, and provide basic communication services.
2. Profile Information and Contact Relationships
You may set or modify your avatar, nickname, gender, personal signature, remarks, QR code business card, and other profile information in H7Chat. When you add friends, delete friends, set remarks, add or remove users from the blacklist, or initiate friend requests, we process the corresponding friend relationship, request information, source information, blocking status, and operation records to maintain your social relationships and message receiving settings.
3. Chats, Group Chats, and User-Generated Content
When you use one-to-one chats, group chats, group settings, group announcements, group names, group administrators, message pinning, message recall, message deletion, conversation pinning, and related features, we process the message sender, recipient, group, message type, message content, sending time, read status, recall status, and related operation records.
Message content may include text, images, videos, voice messages, files, call record prompts, and other content that you actively send. We process this information to complete message delivery, display message history, provide unread reminders, synchronize messages, handle complaints, and maintain service security.
4. Uploading Images, Videos, Voice Messages, Files, and Avatars
When you send images, videos, voice messages, or files, or upload an avatar, we collect the media files you actively select or record, file name, file size, file type, upload time, and the file address returned by the server. These files are used for message sending, profile display, and feedback handling.
5. Audio/Video Calls and Group Calls
When you use voice calls, video calls, or group calls, we process the call initiator, recipient, group, room ID, participants, call type, call status, start and end time, call duration, microphone status, camera status, and other information. To provide real-time audio and video capabilities, H7Chat integrates Tencent Cloud TRTC-related capabilities, which may require access to your camera, microphone, speaker, network status, and device performance information.
6. Message Push, WebSocket, and Service Notifications
To send you new message reminders, friend requests, group chat notifications, audio/video call invitations, and system notifications, we may process device identifiers, push tokens, network status, unread counts, message summaries, and notification records. You may disable notification permissions in your system settings, but after disabling them, you may not receive message reminders in a timely manner.
7. Content Safety, Reporting, Blocking, and Community Governance
To comply with app store review requirements and applicable laws and regulations, H7Chat conducts safety governance for user-generated content. We may filter sensitive words or prohibited content in one-to-one messages, group messages, nicknames, personal signatures, group names, group announcements, and feedback content. For content suspected of being illegal, infringing, harassing, pornographic, violent, hateful, fraudulent, spam, or otherwise inappropriate, we may block sending, prompt you to modify it, restrict display, retain necessary evidence, or take account-related measures.
You may report users, group chats, or chat messages within the app. When you submit a report, we process the reporter, reported user, reported content type, reported object, reason for report, supplementary description, related message or group information, and submission time for verification and handling. You may also add an abusive user to the blacklist. After the user is added to the blacklist, you will no longer receive messages from that user.
8. Translation, Search, and Auxiliary Features
When you use chat translation, search, and other auxiliary features, we may process the text and search keywords that you actively submit. This information is used only to return the corresponding results or improve the service experience.
9. Secure Operation, Troubleshooting, and Service Optimization
To ensure the safe and stable operation of H7Chat, we may collect device model, operating system version, app version, device identifiers, IP address, network type, language settings, crash logs, API access logs, exception information, and performance data. This information is used for identity verification, anti-abuse protection, attack prevention, troubleshooting, compatibility improvement, and service quality optimization.
2. Device Permission Usage
H7Chat does not enable your device permissions by default. We request necessary permissions from the system only when you actively use the related features. You may manage or withdraw authorizations in your device system settings.

3. How We Store and Protect Your Personal Information
1. Storage Location
To provide H7Chat services to users, we may store and process your personal information on servers outside the country or region where you are located, including but not limited to regions where our servers, cloud service providers, or other entrusted service providers deploy servers. Regardless of where your personal information is stored or processed, we will take reasonable security measures in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws and regulations to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. If required by applicable law, we will obtain your separate consent or complete necessary compliance procedures before cross-border transfer.
2. Retention Period
We retain your personal information only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Policy, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations. For example, account information is usually retained while your account exists; chat records, group chat records, uploaded files, report records, and security logs may be retained according to service needs, user requests, compliance requirements, and safety governance needs. After you cancel your account or delete related content, we will delete or anonymize the relevant information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by laws and regulations.
3. Security Measures
We take reasonable measures such as access control, identity authentication, encrypted transmission, permission grading, log auditing, data backup, and security monitoring to protect your personal information. However, please understand that the internet environment is not absolutely secure. Please properly safeguard your account, password, and verification code, and do not disclose them to others.
4. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
H7Chat may use local storage, cache, tokens, cookies, or similar technologies to record login status, language preferences, session information, unread status, and device configuration, in order to ensure normal app operation and improve the user experience. You may clear related data through system or browser settings, but after clearing it, you may need to log in again and some features may be affected.
5. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information
1. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties. We may share your personal information only in the following necessary circumstances:
- With your explicit consent or authorization;
- To implement the core functions of H7Chat, we may share necessary information with cloud storage, message push, audio/video, translation, content safety, or operations and maintenance service providers;
- To handle reports, complaints, disputes, infringement claims, or security incidents, we may provide necessary information to relevant parties, regulators, or judicial authorities within the necessary scope;
- Where required by laws, regulations, administrative authorities, or judicial authorities.
2. Transfer
We will not actively transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual. If a merger, division, acquisition, asset transfer, bankruptcy liquidation, or similar event occurs and involves the transfer of personal information, we will require the new holder to continue to be bound by this Policy or obtain your authorization and consent again.
3. Public Disclosure
We will publicly disclose your personal information only with your explicit consent or when required by laws, regulations, judicial authorities, or administrative authorities. For the handling results of illegal or non-compliant accounts, group chats, or content, we will display or notify such results only within the necessary and minimum scope.
6. Third-Party SDKs and Services
To implement some features of H7Chat, we may integrate third-party SDKs or services. Third parties process information in accordance with their own privacy policies, and we recommend that you read the relevant third-party policies as well.

7. Your Personal Information Rights
You have the rights to access, correct, copy, delete, withdraw consent, cancel your account, restrict or refuse certain processing, and request explanations regarding your personal information. You may exercise these rights through your H7Chat profile, blacklist, message deletion, feedback entry, or the contact methods listed in this Policy.
To protect account security, before processing requests for access, correction, deletion, account cancellation, and similar matters, we may require you to verify your identity. We will process your request as soon as possible after receiving it and respond within the time limit required by applicable laws and regulations.
8. Account Cancellation and Information Deletion
If you need to cancel your H7Chat account, you may do so through the relevant in-app entry or by contacting us. After account cancellation, we will stop providing services to you and delete or anonymize your personal information, except for information that must be retained to comply with laws and regulations, maintain security, handle disputes, fulfill regulatory requirements, or protect the legitimate rights and interests of others. Account cancellation may prevent you from recovering chat records, friend relationships, group information, and uploaded files. Please proceed with caution.
9. Protection of Minors
H7Chat is mainly intended for users with full capacity for civil conduct. If you are a minor under the age of 18, please read this Policy and use our services under the accompaniment and consent of your parents or other guardians. If we discover that we have collected personal information from a minor without guardian consent, we will delete it as soon as possible or take other necessary protective measures. Guardians who discover such circumstances may contact us through the methods listed in this Policy.
10. How This Policy Is Updated
We may update this Privacy Policy based on product features, laws and regulations, technology, or operational conditions. Without your explicit consent, we will not reduce the rights you should enjoy under this Policy. For material changes, we will notify you through in-app pop-ups, announcements, message notifications, or other prominent methods. Your continued use of H7Chat indicates that you have read and accepted the updated Policy.
